Man shot during argument inside Swap Shop in Lauderhill: Police
Police are investigating after an argument inside the Swap Shop in Lauderhill ended with a man shot on Friday.
The incident happened around 4 p.m. inside the business on West Sunrise Boulevard.
Lauderhill Police said two men were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation.
The men struggled over a firearm, causing it to discharge and hit one man in the leg, police said.
The man was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound police described as non-life threatening.
No other injuries were reported.
Police said no one was at large and there was no threat to the public. The identities of the men involved weren’t released.
The incident remains under investigation.
