Man killed, 4 others hurt in crash on Lincoln Drive in Philly, police say
A man was killed while four others, including a young girl, were injured in a crash involving three vehicles on Lincoln Drive in Philadelphia Thursday night, according to police.
The crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. on Jan. 15 on Lincoln Drive between Gypsy Lane and Henry Avenue, police said.
Eric Sullivan, 65, of Philadelphia, was driving a 1997 Toyota 4Runner northbound on Lincoln Drive when he crossed into the southbound lane and struck a black 2026 Mercedes-Benz C-300 head-on, according to investigators. Sullivan then crashed into a black 2025 Nissan Rogue, police said.
The impact caused the Toyota 4Runner to overturn multiple times and Sullivan was ejected from the vehicle, according to investigators. He was pronounced dead at 9:25 p.m.
Three people inside the Mercedes-Benz — a 45-year-old man, 36-year-old woman and an 8-year-old girl — were all injured in the crash. They were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The driver of the Nissan Rogue was also injured and taken to the hospital. Officials have not yet revealed that driver’s condition.
SkyForce10 was over the scene around 10 p.m. where a firetruck could be seen along with three cars with extensive damage visible.
Police continue to investigate the crash.
