Man killed, 2 hospitalized in Point Breeze rowhome fire, officials say
A man was killed and two other people were hospitalized, officials said, in a rowhome fire that erupted in the Point Breeze section of South Philly on Tuesday.
According to police, a man was pronounced at the scene of a fire that happened along the 1600 block of Ellsworth Street at about 10:51 a.m.
Additionally, a man and a woman, officials said, were removed from the burning home and taken to nearby hospitals where they were listed in stable condition.
Police did not immediately identify the person who died in this incident nor did they say what may have caused the deadly fire.
But, an investigation, police said, is ongoing.
