Man arrested after shots fired at ‘luxury' rental home in Plantation: Police

A man was arrested on Tuesday after shots were fired during an argument at a rental home in Plantation, police said.
Trayvon Tashambe Forrest, 26, was charged with discharging a firearm from a vehicle and driving with an expired license for more than six months.
According to Plantation Police, there was an argument that broke out, which led to Forrest firing shots toward the home.
No injuries were reported.
Chopper6 on Tuesday was over the huge police response just north of Broward Boulevard on Northwest Sixth Street.
Swat teams were even called in to help
Before officers arrived at the home, most of the people inside the home, who were not residents, fled the scene.
During their investigation, multiple people were detained, and police said the people who were in the rental home were not cooperative.
Inside the home, drugs were found, which could be related to the shooting, police said.
The home was advertised on Airbnb as a “luxury” Italian-style mansion that cost $3,000 a night.
NBC6 saw officers towing a red Tesla from the area.
Two men who were detained and released did not want to speak with NBC6.
A neighbor in the area described what they heard.
“My brother came home around five o’clock, I think it was. And he claimed he heard some gunshots, which is very rare because this area is super quiet, super relaxed,” said neighbor Carlo Santelli. “Before you know it, there’s helicopters, there’s police activity. I rode my boat over here trying to see what was going on, and they told me, go home, lock the doors. A little scary. Got three young kids. And I’m glad everything’s okay now, though.”
Court records showed that Forrest had several traffic infractions and some third-degree felony drug charges dating back to 2017.
A motive for the shooting is under investigation.
