Man arrested after deadly weekend shooting in Camden, officials say

A New Jersey man was arrested and charged after a man was shot and killed on Sunday night, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. on Oct. 12 on the 2500 block of Baird Boulevard, police had reported.
When officers got to the scene, they found Joshua Cruz, 32, suffering from at least one gunshot wound, officials said.
Cruz was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead just after 9:30 p.m., officials explained.
An investigation was launched by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Police Department when detectives identified Neftalie Sanabria, 40, as the alleged suspect.
Sanabria was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 14 and charged with murder, possession of a weapon and other related charges, the prosecutor’s office said.
Sanabria is being held at the Camden County Correctional Facility.
