Man airlifted in stable condition after being shot in Opa-locka: Sheriff

A shooting on Saturday in Opa-locka sent one person to the hospital, deputies said.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, at around 7:30 p.m., deputies received reports of a shooting at the 2400 block of Northwest 131st Street.

When deputies arrived, they found a man who had apparent gunshot wounds.

He was treated at the scene and was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

As deputies continue to investigate the shooting, they said the suspect and the victim know each other.
