According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred after Marriott was told he was late for his appointment and he had arrived to the salon, located in the 9600 block of Mission Gorge Road, demanding to get a haircut.

Workers at Great Clips called SDSO but Marriott drove away before deputies arrived. Authorities later tracked him down with help from the public.

In February, Marriott was arrested in Chula Vista and booked into the San Diego Central Jail on numerous charges, including assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism and violation of parole.

Marriott pleaded guilty to assault along with having a prior strike conviction.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 18.
