Man accused of contractor fraud wanted in Bucks County, additional victims sought
Police in Bucks County have filed charges against a Delaware man after he allegedly committed contractor fraud by taking money to fix hail-damaged homes but never making the repairs.
In a news release, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office shared that John D. Paoletti, who owns Choice Remodeling and Restoration, is currently the subject of active arrest warrants and has been criminally charged in four separate cases of theft and fraud.
According to officials, Paoletti may have committed similar deceptive practices in other jurisdictions, and there are likely many more unidentified victims.
Officials said the scale of the alleged fraud is significant, with confirmed losses in the current cases exceeding $80,000.
Officials said Paoletti faces multiple felony and misdemeanor counts, including home improvement fraud, deceptive business practices, theft by deception and receiving stolen property.
Paoletti has known ties to Morrisville, as well as Millsboro, Delaware, and Hockessin, Delaware, officials said.

Anyone with information regarding his current whereabouts is asked to contact the police immediately.
If you have hired Paoletti or his company for improvement work, paid him in advance, and the work was never completed, or your money was not refunded, you are strongly urged to contact the police.
