Lego unveils World Cup sets featuring top stars like Messi, Mbappé
Worlds are colliding ahead of the World Cup. Lego has debuted its new sets of World Cup players and arenas.
Fans can build a “brick wall” with Lego bricks just like the pros do on the field.
The Danish toymaker is working on sets that celebrates stars like Kylian Mbappé, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Seven sets have also been made that features special designs representing each player.
For the designers behind the sets, it was a special moment to be face-to-face with the players.
“A particular highlight for me was being able to go and meet Lionel Messi and show him the set I’d been working on for months,” said designer Freddy Charters. “If you’re a fan of football, then you should be a fan of Lionel Messi. I think he’s a brilliant player, and I’ve followed his life and career since I was very young.”
Lego lovers can grab their sets ahead of the tournament this summer. The new creations range from $29 to $179.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is fast approaching. Kickoff begins June and viewers can watch all the action on WSVN-7.
