An investigation is underway after police said a kitten was thrown from a moving vehicle while tied up in a bag in Pennsylvania.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the incident happened on May 4, 2026, on the 3400 block of Conewango Avenue in Glade Township, Warren County.

Police said a six to eight-week-old kitten had been tied up in a black, disposable bag and thrown from a moving vehicle.

The kitten was unharmed from the fall. Police shared a photo of the animal resting on an officer’s shoulder after the incident.

Investigators are now searching for the individual responsible for this crime.

Police reported that the vehicle, driven by a man, was a white, single-cab Chevrolet pickup truck with no registration plate and rust on the body of the truck.

The vehicle was last seen heading north on Conewango Avenue at 6:45 pm on May 4. Investigators are asking anyone with cameras on the avenue to review their footage from 6:30 pm to 7:15 on May 4.
