President Donald Trump reiterated his desire for US control of Greenland, citing Denmark's alleged failure to counter a Russian threat. He declared it was "time" for the acquisition, following a US strike on Venezuela. Both Danish and Greenlandic governments, along with EU leaders, have opposed the proposal, and Greenlanders protested.
