He stabbed 3 family members on Christmas, says Oceanside PD, and he's on the loose
Police in North County are searching for a suspect who stabbed three men at a family gathering on Christmas Day.
After the stabbings occurred in a home in Oceanside, the man, who police have since identified as Luiz Lozano, managed to escape and, so far, has eluded police.
Lozana, 36, managed to enter the home of his ex-girlfriend, where he stabbed the victims, all of whom are expected to survive.
“Everything happened so fast,” the ex’s sister told NBC 7 on Tuesday. “He came directly for my husband, my brother-in-law. And the kids were all there; they saw everything. And then he was able to get my brother-in-law in the head, my husband’s arm, and he shanked my dad in the ribs. But he got away.”
Police are investigating the crime as an attempted murder. The family, of course, has been traumatized by the attack.
“I haven’t been able to sleep,” the ex-girlfriend’s sister said. “My husband hasn’t been able to sleep, and if we do, we only get a certain amount of hours of sleep.”
Anybody who encounters Lozano — who is about 6 feet tall, weighs about 230 pounds, and has tattoos on his face, head, neck and arms — or knows anything about the case is being urged to call the Oceanside police.
