Great Wednesday, soggy by Thursday

After another beautiful day, clouds start to increase toward Wednesday evening and rain will push into the area toward the pre-dawn hours on Thursday. The rain will become spottier during Thursday but then increase again by later in the day. Another shot of chilly air triggers bands of localized lake effect showers with most of it just south of downtown Buffalo and near Lake Ontario for Halloween and Saturday. Dry weather returns in time for the Bills game.

WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON: Some Clouds could brush the Lake Ontario shore, otherwise Sunshine, Thin Clouds Increase from the South by late, High: 50-56, Wind: E 8-16 mph

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Increasing Clouds, Rain Develops from south to north by morning reaching Buffalo metro during the a.m. drive, Some Downpours, Low: 36 valleys well south, 45 lakeshores, Wind: E 8-16 mph

THURSDAY: Breezy, Cool, Early Widespread Rain with some Downpours become Spottier during the day, Patchy Drizzle, Rain Increases again by later afternoon, High: 46-53, Wind: NE 10-20 gusts to 30-35 mph, Low: 41

?FRIDAY (HALLOWEEN): Windy and Cool, Mostly Cloudy, Lake Effect Rain Showers, most just south of Buffalo and near Lake Ontario, Showers may taper getting into the evening, High: 47, Low: 40
