EMT arrested for stalking after sending ex bullet, putting tracker on car: BSO
A man was arrested for allegedly stalking his ex-girlfriend in Broward County after authorities said he sent her a letter containing a bullet and placed a tracker on her vehicle.
Jakir Hasan, 23, of West Palm Beach, was arrested Wednesday in Parkland by the Broward Sheriff’s Office on charges of aggravated stalking and installing a tracking device without consent, records showed.

According to an arrest report, a woman reported that Hasan, her ex-boyfriend, has been harassing her through text messages, handwritten letters and social media.
She said they had dated for about two years but broke up 8-9 months ago and the harassment started 6 months ago, the report said.
The woman said on Tuesday, he sent her flowers and the same day, she found a tracker on her vehicle, the report said.
On Jan. 11, her brother had found a letter on the driveway near their house that he said was from Hasan. It had a live 9mm round inside the envelope, the report said.
The letter talked about “how he messed it up with her and asking to get back with her because he loves her very much,” the report said.
The ex-girlfriend said he used different numbers and social media accounts to contact her because she blocked him, and said he texted her threatening to shoot her new boyfriend but she deleted the text, the report said.
She also said Hasan owns a firearm and made suicidal comments in one letter, the report said.
Hasan was questioned by investigators and confessed to sending the letter with the bullet and to placing the tracker on her vehicle, the report said.
During Hasan’s bond court appearance, his uncle said he works at a hospital as an EMT in an emergency room and has never been in trouble with the law.
The judge granted a $10,000 bond and ordered Hasan to wear a GPS tracker, have no victim contact, and said he can’t possess firearms or weapons.
