Double shooting in Philadelphia's Olney section leaves man dead, another hurt
A man was killed and another critically injured in a shooting early Saturday morning in Philadelphia’s Olney neighborhood, police said.
Police told NBC10 that officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 400 block of West Grange Avenue just before 5 a.m. on October 25, 2025. When they arrived, police discovered that the shooting had taken place inside a home.
It was a very disturbing scene with a lot of blood on the second floor, police shared.
According to investigators, a 25-year-old man had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. A 28-year-old man was shot multiple times and taken to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
“It was a very chaotic scene,” said Captain Christopher Bradshaw of the Philadelphia Police Department. “We are speaking with witnesses.”
Police said they have identified a suspect but have not yet made an arrest.

Separate West Philly shooting
A man was also critically injured in a separate shooting in West Philadelphia on Saturday morning, police said.
The shooting occurred at the 5200 block of Girard Avenue at around 6 a.m., with a 34-year-old man getting shot on his left side, police said.
The man was taken to the hospital, where he is in critical condition, police said.
No arrests have been made or motives determined in the shooting, but Philadelphia police are investigating.
