Delivery driver arrested after dropping off food, stealing packages in Miami: Cops
A delivery driver who was caught on video leaving a Miami building with stolen packages was arrested Thursday, according to an arrest report.
Samuel Lee Robertson, 36, faces several charges after Miami police said he was the suspect seen on surveillance footage stealing packages from a commercial and residential building near Southwest 3rd Avenue, just west of Interstate 95.
Police said it started with a report on Dec. 12 from a victim who said her packages containing $917 worth of Alo merchandise were taken.

When officers reviewed security video, Robertson allegedly could be seen entering the building with an Uber Eats food delivery before looking “at the packages that were in the mailbox area.”
“He then went into the elevator to deliver the food on the second floor and then returned downstairs,” the arrest report details, where he could be seen “picking up multiple packages, exiting the building, placing the packages into the red Hyundai and entering the vehicle on the passenger side.”
Then, he allegedly drove off.
On Thursday, police said they were able to find the car and stop Robertson, “who was simultaneously arrested for driving with a suspended license (knowingly).”
When officers identified him as the suspect in the package thefts, they said Robertson refused to give a statement and requested a lawyer.
He was taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and booked on charges including grand theft in the third degree, along with boating violations possibly related to a different case.
He was being held on $2,500 bond.
