Emergency crews worked to contain a wildfire in the area of Route 195 in Jackson Township in Ocean County on Monday afternoon, New Jersey’s Forest Fire Service said in a social media post.
The fire was reported around Marker 25 on the westbound side of Route 195, officials said.
At around 4:47 p.m., officials said that crews had contained “multiple wildfires burning along Route 195” and that one of the two westbound lanes had reopened.
One of the two westbound lanes remained closed between Route 9 and Jackson Mills Road, officials.
