Crews battle fire at multi-family home in Quincy
Flames tore through a multi-family house in Quincy on Wednesday morning.
The fire broke out on Harrison Street, where firefighters were met with heavy flames from the back of the home on the second floor.
According to fire officials, the seven people inside were able to get out safely, but several pets, including a dog and a cat, were missing.
“My family’s been here for over 50 years,” Chrissy Broderick said, who lived in the home. “The neighbors ran out immediately with bags of clothes and food. We’ve been here for so long. I mean, the very first thing was our community showed up for us so quickly. I’m just so thankful for the community we have here.”
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
