Couple's kindness leads to unforgettable Bills experience

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) -- An act of kindness before last week's Buffalo Bills game against the New England Patriots turned into an unforgettable experience for a local couple.

Tanya Seidler and her husband were heading back to their car after tailgating, with no tickets to the game. As they were approaching their car, they spotted an older man limping on the sidewalk.

"When I went to ask him if he was OK, he was saying how much pain he was in," said Seidler. "He wasn't able to walk, and his son was coming to pick him up."

It turned out the father and son traveled from Toronto to attend the game as a birthday gift to the elder man. After hours of traveling, the duo wouldn't be able to go because of the injury.

"His son was an adult son, and his dad was a little bit older," said Seidler. "It just broke my heart, and I couldn't stop thinking about how they were getting ripped from this experience."

What happened next was bittersweet.

Seidler offered to buy their tickets so the father and son wouldn't lose out entirely. She had no idea where the seats were located.

"He tells me that these tickets are front-row tickets," said Seidler. "I about had a heart attack."

The man ended up selling her the tickets for far less than they were worth. The seats were nothing like Seidler had ever experienced before.

"Usually we're up in the 300 sections where it's such a cool vibe up there, but this was such a different experience," said Seidler. "From that point of view, you can hear conversations, you can see the players' faces, you could see the plays and all the action."

While the Bills did not come out with a win that day, Seidler said the night reminded her what it means to be a part of Bills Mafia and how generosity never goes unnoticed.

"It just goes to show that the opportunity would have never happened if something didn't draw me back to go ask him if he was OK," said Seidler. "I could've kept walking, but I always try to teach my kids and everyone around that kindness does go a long way."

The experience stayed with Seidler.

She shared their story on TikTok and reached out to the Bills, hoping there might be a way to give something back. She's waiting to hear back.

"Experiences like that with your parents don't come too often," Seidler said. "If I can do something to make this up to a father and son where they can experience what we experienced, I know that would be such a memory that would last a lifetime."
