Convenience store employee working in fear after 2 armed robberies in 1 month

An employee who works at a convenience store in Philadelphia that was hit by robbers twice in one month says that she has been working in a state of fear ever since.

New surveillance video obtained by NBC10 shows one of the armed robberies that happened at Christian Express located on the 5200 block of North 5th Street on Feb. 22, 2026.

In the video, two masked men can be seen entering the store in Olney around 4 p.m. and going behind the counter.

Then, in another angle, you can see one of the suspects with what appears to be a knife demanding money from the cashier.

This is followed by the second suspect taking piles of cash that were laying underneath the counter and putting them into a black plastic bag.

At one point, the worker was able to go beneath the counter and escape, running out of the store as the two men ran after her.

Police said the men had possibly been checking out the place earlier that same day when they shopped there wearing different clothing.

An employee who was not at the store during the robbery said she has been working in fear since the crimes and worries the men will strike again.

“I try to take caution all the hours I’m here,” she said. “Check who is inside the store. Check who is lurking outside. Any security measures I can take.”

According to police, the suspects are linked to another armed robbery at the same store on Jan. 21

Video from that day shows the suspect enter the store wearing a mask, gaining access behind the counter and then demanding money from the cashier while holding a knife – just like on Feb. 22.

The suspect is also seen taking all of the money from underneath the counter.

Store employees say almost $20,000 have been stolen after both incidents and police are looking to identify three suspects.

Investigators describe the first suspect as a man of slim build with black hair. He was last seen wearing a reversible “Cali” hooded sweatshirt.

The second suspect is described as a man of medium build. He was last seen wearing glasses, a black puffy jacket and pants.

The third suspect is described as a man, tall with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with “members only” on the lower back and “rip cage and spine” on the front.

If you have any information about this crime or the suspects, you are urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department.
