CBX now offers Global Entry and SENTRI interviews to eligible travelers entering the U.S.
Cross Border Xpress (CBX) is expanding its on‑site services, announcing that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will introduce Enrollment on Arrival (EoA) at the terminal beginning Jan. 19, 2026. The addition enables travelers arriving via Tijuana International Airport (TIJ) to finalize their Global Entry or SENTRI enrollment interviews as soon as they enter the U.S. through the cross‑border bridge.
CBP’s EoA program allows conditionally approved applicants of trusted traveler programs to finalize their interviews upon arrival, eliminating the need to schedule an appointment at an enrollment center. Travelers who meet the requirements can notify a CBP officer of their application status at the primary inspection booth and will be directed to complete their interview, CBX said in a news release.
To complete the interview via EoA, travelers must present the following documents:
- A valid passport — and any additional passports they use for international travel.
- Proof of residency, such as a driver’s license with current address, mortgage statement, rental agreement, or utility bill (not required for minors).
- A permanent resident card, if applicable.
CBX officials said the addition of EoA strengthens the terminal’s ongoing collaboration with CBP while enhancing the passenger experience by offering more convenient, streamlined services at the border. The program underscores CBX’s commitment to providing a secure, efficient, and seamless travel connection between TIJ and its terminal in San Diego.
