Burglary suspects, including 2 killed after crashing into lake in Deerfield Beach, ID'd: BSO
New details were released on Wednesday after burglary suspects crashed their vehicle into a lake in Deerfield Beach, resulting in an arrest and two bodies being pulled from the water.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office Pledidson Philibert, 21, is facing five counts of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and three counts of conspiracy to commit burglary of an unoccupied conveyance
Deputies also identified the two bodies as 22-year-old Weekenley Felix and 20-year-old Ashly Rosier.
BSO said the incident began shortly before 4 a.m. on Tuesday when deputies received reports of a burglary in the 700 block of Deer Creek Emerald Way West.

When deputies arrived at the scene, the driver of the suspected vehicle fled the area before crashing into a lake near Lakeside Way and Lakeside Drive.
One of the suspects inside the car was able to get out, and he was taken into custody, officials said.
A deputy then went into the water to try to save another suspect who was inside the vehicle, but was unable to do so.
Video showed several deputies at the scene and a diver swimming in the water behind homes in the neighborhood.
A man was later recovered from the water and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The video showed the body being removed and placed in a yellow bag before the suspects’ white SUV was pulled from the lake.
A second body was then pulled out of the lake.
Surveillance video from after the crash shows Philibert trying to hide under a car before he surrendered to deputies.
During his court appearance on Wednesday, a judge set Philibert’s bond at $24,000.
