Officials said school nurses responded immediately and started treating all four students.

At 10:20 a.m., officials said out of an abundance of caution, a fire alarm was sounded, and the building and adjacent district office were evacuated.

According to officials, by 10:50 a.m., firefighters had cleared the building, with no threat of a gas leak or other danger to staff and students.

All ventilation systems were inspected, and all carbon monoxide tests returned negative results.

By 11 a.m., officials reported that all students and staff had returned to the building, and classes resumed.

At this time, it is unclear why the four students fell ill.
