Apartment fire leads to closure of Lansdale Catholic High School
An early morning fire at a Lansdale apartment complex led to the closure, Thursday, of a Catholic high school in Montgomery County.
On Thursday morning, a fire tore through the Oakwood Gardens apartment complex, located along the 400 block of East Main Street in Lansdale.
NBC10’s SkyForce10 caught images of fire crews working at the property at about 7 a.m. on Thursday.
The residents of the complex were evacuated, officials said.
And, on social media, Lansdale Catholic High School announced that it would be closed for the day to be able to provide shelter for the evacuated residents.
Students, officials said, would serve a “flexible instruction day” instead of going to the school for the day.
Officials have not yet detailed the extent of damage from this incident.
No injuries were reported, according to officials. The Red Cross is providing assistance to 16 people — six families — following this fire.
