74-year-old woman dead after crashing in Newfane

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 74-year-old woman is dead after she crashed in Newfane on Thursday night, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office received a 911 call just before 7:15 p.m. Thursday, where it was determined that the car drifted off from the southbound side of Lockport-Olcott Road, hit the perimeter fencing of Corwin Cemetery and came to rest against a tree.
The car, a 2014 Chevrolet, only sustained minor damages. It is believed the woman, identified Friday as Adele Sullivan of Lockport, suffered a medical event that caused the crash.
The investigation is considered "closed" as of Friday, authorities said.
