64-year-old man dies in duplex fire in Burlington Township, police say
A fire in Burlington Township, New Jersey, on early Saturday morning left a 64-year-old man dead and an entire duplex destroyed, police said.
Firefighters responded to the fire at around 12:44 a.m. at the 900 block of Beverly Road on Saturday, Nov. 8, to find a duplex fully engulfed in flames, police said.
All the people in the duplex were able to make it out uninjured, however Kenneth Jones, 64, was not able to escape and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The fire is under investigation, but officials say they do not believe it was suspicious in nature at this time.
