$5K reward offered after car set on fire during Miami-Dade street takeover: Sheriff
Authorities are searching for a man who they said set a car on fire during a street takeover in Miami-Dade last month.
Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office officials said they launched an arson investigation following the Dec. 28 street takeover at the intersection of Northwest 95th Street and Northwest 17th Avenue.
During the incident, a vehicle with no hood and no doors was seen on multiple social media videos being driven by an unknown person, the sheriff’s office said.
At one point, the vehicle, a white 2017 Dodge Shelby Charger, was set on fire by a man investigators are trying to identify.
The sheriff’s office on Monday released a flyer with images of the man, who they said was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt with a picture of a “Venom” on the back, dark colored pants and red/black/white shoes.
