3 hospitalized after shots fired in Brownsville: Police

An early morning shooting in Brownsville on Sunday sent three people to the hospital, deputies said.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, before 4:30 a.m., deputies received a ShotSpotter alert in the 2400 block of Northwest 55th Street.

As deputies were heading to the location, they learned that a man had been dropped off at Jackson Memorial Hospital after suffering an apparent gunshot wound.

The man was was stable condition, deputies said.

Deputies also learned that two more men with gunshot wounds drove themselves to Northshore Hospital in stable condition and were then taken to JMH.

During their early investigation, deputies said the victims were on their way to a gathering when shots were fired from an unknown location, and they were struck.

MDSO has not released any information on a suspect.
