2 Bucks Co. burglaries under investigation possibly connected, police say
Two burglaries at businesses along River Road in Upper Makefield, Bucks County, are under investigation with investigators thinking they were committed by the same suspects, according to the police department.
The first incident happened around 2:42 a.m. on Jan. 2 when officers were called to Voltage Bikes on the 1000 block of River Road in the Washington Crossing neighborhood of Upper Makefield after an alarm was activated inside the store, officials said.
When the officers arrived, they reported finding that someone had broken into the building through the front door but had left before law enforcement got there.
The suspects were not able to take anything from the store before fleeing, police said.
Later on Jan. 2, officers were called to Francisco’s on the River located on the 1200 block of River Road after staff had found that someone had broken into the establishment through the front door, officials reported.
Investigators said that they discovered that cash was stolen from the restaurant.
Officials said that investigators believe these two burglaries are related and both are under investigation.
