15-year-old boy killed in Atlantic City double shooting, police say

A shooting in Atlantic City, New Jersey left one teen dead and another hospitalized on Friday, officials said.

According to police, officers responded the the 800 block of Arkansas Ave., in Atlantic City at about 5:24 p.m. on Friday on a report of a shooting.

Here, police said that officers discovered a 15-year-old boy who had been shot several times.

The boy, officials said, was pronounced shortly after he was taken to a nearby hospital.

A 17-year-old boy, also wounded in this incident, was taken to a nearby hospital where, officials said, he was expected to recover.

No arrests have been announced in this incident and police have not detailed what led to the shooting.

But, officials said an investigation is ongoing.
